TOKYO – Yokohama Rubber Corporation (YRC) brings together three major lines of high pressure hydraulic hoses under the brand name Versatran.
Yokohama said in a September 30 statement that the comprehensive rebranding, effective October 1, is aimed at making hoses more competitive in overseas markets.
Integrated hose series include the Exceed, Versatran and 100R1/100R2 hose series. YRC stated that these hose series comply with US SAE standards and European EN standards.
In addition, hose labels and part numbers will be updated “to increase global brand awareness and strength, and improve usability and ease of use.”
The brand integration will also be accompanied by a hose upgrade in line with the international ISO18752 standard.
YRC says the new hose will be an upgrade of the previous Exceed hose with improved coverage from the Versatran hose.
He added that the new product will retain Exceed’s “excellent bend radius, flexibility and durability” while being flame retardant and “20 times better” in wear resistance.
