STAINLESS STEEL CAPILLARY TUBING EQUIVALENT GRADES
All components are custom fabricated and can include a variety of polymer internal and external coatings and tubing, soldering and laser welding, as well as terminals and assemblies.
Our conduit systems are custom made stainless steel or nitinol rods or conduit designs consisting of individual helically stranded wires.
By adjusting the twist angle, we can tailor wire thickness, wire structure, torque, bending flexibility and elongation to suit the desired application.
The inner tube is a special double-layer extruded tube designed for use as a lining for Asahi Intecc cable ducts.
The bottom layer is a fluoropolymer that reduces friction, compaction or chemical sealing of the lumen, and the top layer is made of PEBAX to provide proper adhesion to the assembled stainless steel conduit.
Asahi Intecc offers customers a variety of optional coatings to complement our cables, cable tubes and reels.
These include internal spray (PTFE), dip (PTFE), extrusion (PE, PA, PEBAX, TPU, various fluoropolymers other than PTFE) or heat shrink (PTFE and other fluoropolymers, PEBAX) methods.
Coating materials are determined based on requirements such as lubricity, sealing, and electrical insulation.
When different mechanical properties (e.g. different bending flexibility) need to be combined into a single shaft, laser welding or welding of individual components of our cables, reels and rigid tube/hypotube assemblies can be a suitable solution.
As an additional service, we offer our own laser welding of threads, drivers and other non-standard components for cable and reel products.
The torque hypotube combines two core Asahi Intecc technologies: wire drawing technology and torque transmission enhancement technology. Ideal for minimally invasive medical devices requiring high tensile and compressive strength, fracture resistance, shape recovery and 1:1 torque characteristics.
Typical applications include endoscopic fine needle aspiration (FNA) and other minimally invasive devices for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. It is also often used in combination with our other more flexible cable and tubing assemblies to improve proximal pushability and maximum torque.

The torque coil is a very flexible coil made up of multiple layers and very thin wires, making the coil ideal for high speed spins on very twisty areas or anatomy.
Our PTFE liners feature ultra-thin walls (0.0003 inches) and tight tolerances, allowing you to maximize the inside diameter or minimize the outside diameter with our certified conduit liners.
