Suzuki Boulevard M109R BOSS will be the leader of the Japanese manufacturer’s cruise portfolio in 2022. Many international markets do not add the “BOSS” suffix to the bike, it simply stands for “Blacked Out Suzuki Special”. The bikes feature a chrome engine, exhaust, fork pipes and tank, and the BOSS version – the only one for the North American and Canadian markets – has the same equipment but is blacked out.

The Boulevard M109R borrows design cues from classic American cruisers, such as a relaxed seating position, comfortable ergonomics and a massive V-twin engine. This 1,783cc, 54-degree, liquid-cooled V-twin makes 128 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. One of the most impressive aspects of this engine is the forged aluminum alloy piston, one of the largest pistons used in a production car.
This year, the M109R has no mechanical changes from its predecessor, meaning it still features a large 240mm rear tire, the widest tire ever used on a Suzuki motorcycle. Braking equipment was also carried over, with two floating discs and two-piston calipers at the front and one disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear.
Other interesting features of the Boulevard M109R BOSS include a classic flat-curve handlebar and a large 5.2 US gallon handlebar. fuel tank and a comfortable low-slung cruiser seat with a passenger cushion and cover for solo riding.
For 2022, the Boulevard M109R BOSS is available in two colors: metallic triton blue with black glass or candy red with black glass.
